    Self-Care

Self-care is never a selfish act - it is simply good stewardship of the only gift I have, the gift I was put on earth to offer to others.  Anytime we can listen to true self and give it the care it requires, we do so not only for ourselves but for the many others whose lives we touch. (Parker J. Palmer. Let Your Life Speak.)

Wishing you peace and well being as you are faithful to yourself and others.

    Life is Difficult

Life is difficult.  This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths.  It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it.  Once we truly know that life is difficult - once we truly understand and accept it - then life is no longer difficult.  Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.  What makes life difficult is that the process of confronting and solving problems is a painful one.  Yet it is in this whole process of meeting and solving problems that life has meaning.  It is through the pain of confronting and resolving problems that we learn. (M. Scott Peck.  The Road Less Traveled)

Wishing you peace and well being as you confront and resolve the problems that you face.

    Through Younger Eyes

Sometimes if you look at people with your eyes they look kinda different.  But that doesn't mean their life is different.  Because if you look at people with your heart, everybody looks the same. (6-1/2 year old Makenna Stenstrom)

Wishing you peace and well being as you experience the world as a 6-1/2 year old.

    Sailing Uncharted Waters

I’m not a sailor but I’m told that as you are sailing across a body of water you find a landmark in front of you and that becomes your dream.  If you only look that way, then you are not paying any account to the cross-currents that are going to push you off course.  (Reverend Paul Kottke.  Sailing Uncharted Waters. Paul Michelac.  Words of EnCOURAGEment #7)

Wishing you peace and well being as you chart your course, watch the crosscurrents and sail on to that distant shore.
